Impossible de localiser le package libc6-dbg: i386 dans le docker

J'essaie d'installer libc6-dbg: i386 dans un conteneur docker basé sur Ubuntu parce que j'en ai besoin pour Valgrind, mais je ne peux pas.

Étant donné le Dockerfile suivant:

FROM ubuntu:14.04

Fonctionnant sur un hôte Ubuntu 14.04 de bureau 64 bits:

Sur l'hôte, je peux installer libc6-dbg: i386, pourquoi ne puis-je pas l'installer dans le conteneur Docker?

Apt dans l'image docker ubuntu officielle et également dans phusion / baseimage est configuré uniquement avec le support de l'amd64. Voici ce que cela vous dit si vous demandez:

# dpkg --print-architecture
amd64
# dpkg --print-foreign-architectures
<no output>

La solution consiste à ajouter une autre architecture avant la mise à jour apt-get :

# dpkg --add-architecture i386
# apt-get update
<lots of lines>
# apt-get install libc6-dbg:i386
