Comment puis-je demander à xrandr de détecter les deux cartes nvidia: 2 x GTX480, triple tête?

• J'utilise Linux Mint 16 (Petra)
• J'utilise le pilote par défaut nvidia-319 livré avec la distribution
• J'ai 2x cartes GTX480
• J'ai 3 moniteurs
• À l'aide du pilote Nvidia, tous les moniteurs et GPU sont récupérés par l'utilitaire propriétaire.

Cependant, de manière similaire au rapport sur https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/719768/linux/304-121-ubuntu-14-04-xrandr-1-4-multi-gpu-not-being-detected / lorsque je lance xrandr - listproviders, on ne me montre qu'un seul fournisseur - la première carte. J'ai xrandr 1.4, donc je devrais pouvoir voir les deux. Si je configure un écran X séparé et que je fais ensuite xrandr - listproviders - screen 1, je peux voir la deuxième carte. Cependant, je ne veux pas de plusieurs écrans X; Je veux pouvoir circuler de façon transparente entre les moniteurs.

Je ne veux pas exécuter xinerama car c'est une douleur dans le cou à configurer et devrait être remplacé par xrandr.

En utilisant le nouveau pilote, je peux utiliser les trois écrans exactement comme je le souhaiterais, mais les performances ne sont pas bonnes.

J'ai donc quelques questions:

1.) Ce comportement est-il voulu par la conception ou un bogue? Je note sur http://uk.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/319.12/README/randr14.html que le pilote ne prend en charge que la capacité de sortie source; cela m'empêcherait-il de voir deux fournisseurs de cartes différents dans xrandr?

2.) Si le premier est vrai, y a-t-il un moyen de contourner cela?

3.) J'ai joué avec différentes options de mosaïque, en vain

Martin - Configuration très similaire de mon côté, sauf avec une paire de nvidia GT9800 - vers 2008!. Également un Intel HD4000 intégré (désactivé dans le BIOS). xrandr n'a montré que 1 gpu, bien que tous les autres outils liés au système aient correctement signalé les deux. ubuntu 14.04 lts beta 2, nvidia 331.28 propriétaire

La solution du Saint-Graal pour moi hier soir était: Base Mosaic! Videz xorg.conf, nvidia x server settings-> Enable Base Mosaic, puis activez chaque affichage détecté. Tout fonctionne! configuration multi-moniteurs multi-gpu rapide et multi-têtes avec 1 x écran! Mes 3 affichages sont de résolutions différentes et l'un est tourné en portrait. Même les paramètres ubuntu - Les écrans affichent correctement les 3 moniteurs.

Je suggère de passer aux pilotes propriétaires nvidia 331.28, de faire exploser votre xorg.conf et de réessayer la base Mosaic.

Ce fil m'a beaucoup aidé, mais il y avait beaucoup plus d'étapes que ce qui est décrit dans la réponse, donc j'ai pensé laisser un commentaire avec les étapes détaillées qui ont fonctionné pour moi.

1. Utilisez l'application «Driver Manger» dans «Paramètres système» pour sélectionner «nvidia-346» comme pilote (et non «nvidia-346-updates»). Cliquez sur «Appliquer les modifications». Une fois le traitement de l'application terminé, rien ne se passera (rien ne sera installé, aucune invite n'apparaîtra, aucun message ne s'affichera). Redémarrez votre ordinateur (cela est nécessaire car le pilote NVIDIA modifie apparemment le noyau et seul un redémarrage complet du système entraînera l'installation).
2. Lorsque Linux Mint sera lancé après le redémarrage, Cinnamon sera cassé et seulement 2 de vos moniteurs fonctionneront. Ne vous embêtez pas à essayer de réparer Cinnamon, cela vous mènera simplement sur un chemin d'installations inutiles.
3. Lancez l'application «Terminal». Ce sera difficile lorsque Cinnamon est cassé car "Terminal" est mystérieusement absent de la liste des applications dans la barre des tâches! Et un clic droit sur le bureau est également cassé. Le seul moyen que j'ai trouvé pour le lancer est d'utiliser le raccourci créé à l'étape 1 ou d'utiliser le raccourci clavier Alt + F2. Lorsqu'une fenêtre apparaît vous demandant de taper une commande à exécuter - utilisez "sudo ls" et cochez la case "Utiliser le terminal". Lors du lancement d'un terminal, utilisez le raccourci clavier Ctrl + Maj + T pour ouvrir un nouvel onglet de terminal. Vous pouvez maintenant fermer l'onglet d'origine qui attend votre mot de passe sudo. (Vous devrez le faire chaque fois que vous souhaitez lancer une nouvelle fenêtre de terminal).

4. Dans le terminal, exécutez ces commandes:

   sudo apt-add-repository ppa:xorg-edgers 
   sudo apt-get update
   sudo apt-get upgrade
   sudo apt-get install nvidia-346 nvidia-settings
   sudo apt-get --purge remove xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
   sudo apt-get autoremove
   

5. Redémarrez votre ordinateur. Il n'y a pas de bouton d'interface utilisateur pour ce faire, vous devrez donc exécuter sudo reboot.

6. Lorsque l'ordinateur redémarre, les choses seront toujours cassées. Je ne suis pas sûr des étapes 7 et 8. Elles peuvent ne pas être nécessaires, mais je l'ai fait en essayant de comprendre ce qui ne va pas, donc en les incluant ici au cas où.

7. Ensuite, exécutez sudo gedit /etc/default/grub. Dans l'éditeur, recherchez la ligne qui la définit GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULTet changez-la en:

   GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nomodeset"
   

8. Maintenant, dans Terminal, exécutez ceci:

   sudo update-initramfs -u
   sudo update-grub2
   sudo update-grub
   

9. Maintenant, utilisez sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.confpour modifier votre fichier X Config. Cette étape est nulle car il n'y a pas d'interface graphique agréable pour éditer ce fichier de configuration et si vous faites une erreur et corrompez ce fichier - la prochaine fois que vous redémarrerez - vous n'aurez plus d'interface graphique et peut-être même pas de console de travail. Faites d'abord une copie de sauvegarde de ce fichier.    • Assurez-vous que la section "ServerLayout" ne définit que l'écran 0. Il ne devrait pas y avoir de lignes définissant "l'écran 1". Si vous avez une telle ligne, supprimez-la.
   • Dans la section "Écran", assurez-vous:
     • MultiGPU est désactivé
     • SLI est activé
     • SLIMosaic est vrai

10. Redémarrez une dernière fois. Lorsque vous revenez, Cinnamon devrait fonctionner à nouveau et tous vos 3 moniteurs fonctionneront à nouveau. Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser l'interface graphique des paramètres NVIDIA pour configurer les résolutions et les positions / rotations de l'écran, etc.
